All items are authentic, real vintage, antique or unique. Up for sale is (1) authentic 1000 credit coin minted for use in the motion picture. It is one of only 500 total minted during pre-production. Of the film and used in the Kansas Bar scenes and dispensed by the Deckman in rolls to Dr Ido and Alita. This is the first time in the last 2 years I've brought any coins out.
There will be fewer than 10 of the 1000 credit nickel coins available and that represents a significant percentage of all remaining 1000 credits. Will there be a sequel? I sure hope so but with the passing of the great Jon Landau that may no longer be a reality. He brought us many great films and he loved these coins.
The Nickel Silver and the 1 ounce pure silver coins were only made for the production of the film and were minted in two groups dating to September 2016 and January of 2017. All of the nickel silver and 50 pure silver were minted in 2016 and an additional 25 pure silver minted in January 2017. Towards the end of filming, the producers started handing the coins out as promotional items to press and dignitaries visiting the film set. After all 500 original screen used coins were dispersed additional coins were ordered.
The nickel silver was too hard on the dies and brass was used starting in 2017. No brass coins were in existence during the making of the film and none are considered screen used they are strictly promotional items associated with the escape rooms. All nickel silver coins were used during the filming of the Kansas Bar scenes so any nickel silver coin was on set while filming. In addition to the 1000 credit coin there were (500) each of the 10 and 1 credit coins minted for use during production. None of these coins saw further minting or distribution.
Mintage total of all Alita 1000 credit coins. 99 fine silver 38.1mm 2016. 99 fine silver 38.1mm 2017.300 Brass Promo 39mm 2017. 2450 Brass Promo 39mm 2018. 13000 Brass Promo 39mm 2019. Each coin comes enclosed in a case with a label and a certificate of authenticity.
All of the coins in my possession being offered to you were lawfully obtained from 20. Century Fox at the end of production and I have full right and privilege to sell them on this forum. TO MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE BOUGHT OTHER COINS FROM ME, THERE ARE NO MORE SILVER 1000 CREDIT COINS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
